Has anyone ever replaced only a fuel filter and for a problem they were having, and it was fixed by this repair? If so, what was the problem? Markus Posted May 24, 2004 Share Posted May 24, 2004 I'm going by your text "fuel filter" not pump: Both my '81 & '83 4WD Wagons would start running real bad, sputtering and within the day could barely run, one left me stranded.
