brickellhippy Posted November 2, 2004 Share Posted November 2, 2004 I don't claim to know anything at all about cars.. but I do own one that I would prefer would keep running. Lately it's been misbehaving (1993 Subaru Legacy Wagon) when I try to take it out of park after starting. Several times it just wouldn't go, after further attempts it would shift into drive and we'd be on our way. This evening, it just would NOT go. My husband told me to push the little button at the base of the gear shift and that worked to get me home, but now I"m just beside myself worried about what this means for the future of my transmission. We are about to move and have our finances stretched as far as they can go. Can someone point me in the right direction before I start sinking $ into this?? I'd appreciate any ideas.
