fmagic Posted November 5, 2004 Share Posted November 5, 2004 I have a 2001 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport and it's developed a problem with the headlights that has me puzzled. I'm not too good with mechanics, but I am pretty good with electronics and computers, so I'm trying to figure out if this is something I can troubleshoot on my own or if I need to take it somewhere. The driver's side headlamp is only working on low-beam, and while on low-beam, I've been getting a lot of people flashing me while driving, so I suspect the lights are operating brighter than normal. I then noticed my blue high-beam indicator on the dashboard is dimly lit. If I switch to high-beam, the indicator gets to the normal brightness and the other high-beam does come on. The car also has driving lights, which normally only operate on low-beam, but now, they are staying on when the high-beam is on. Any ideas what I should be checking or what might be wrong?
