Does anyone know the going rate for these used parts from a Brat? Tailgate, complete rear bumper, doors, engine, transmission. Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing that your talking about the wrecked brat that you have, if so I might be intereested in some of the interior parts, is it in good condition? are the seat badly worn? also what colors? Hey, Shawn, any leads yet on those clear side lights? /'''''''''\__ `O----O` /\/\ /\ \/

In looking up BRAT engines, there are 2 quotes of $255, and $400. See if you can find the other parts. Quotes are online.

B.T.W. Thanks for the site. Try www.nadauto.com Also, try mick's page for Subarus of the 80's. It has a list of lots of used engines. Where are you located?

tailgate 125 or more perfect condition taillights 25 each t-tops 30 each more doors are 100 each rear quarters are worth 100, or the shell for 200. Wagon wheels 15 each. front struts 15 each caliper and wheels assyb $20each side trans $250-300 depending on cond. Motor $400 for no leaks and good compression. Axles 35-50 a piece. you might get more for this stuff, if you are willing to hang on to it until someone is desperate. You might want to beg that guy to sell you that AT, you have the perfect conversion car, if you get the brat, which I think you should.

It is going to need a front core support and maybe have to weld in the inner fenders(side c support?), I think it is well worth the money. If you can find the parts cheap. I would look for a wagon with rear damage, or go to the junk yard right after they put a car out.

thanx e-mail to: m_g_v_a@hotmail.com Although I think you should fix it up and get another brat on the roads, if finacial gain is your interest then it's a good find at $400 you should be able to get that out of it and maybe more. I might also be interested in some of the rear end as soon as I find out whats making that noise back there. /'''''''''\__ `O----O` /\/\ /\ \/

I'm in the Lexington/Frankfort area of Kentucky. Had an 86 5x4 wagon first. Moved to an 89 3x2 GL-10 wagon that didn't run. Put a timing belt in it, and the $*&%$#@ turbo was blown. Neutered it. Not quite as slow as my 81 VW diesel pickup :-) Currently sitting on street awaiting better weather and up for sale cheap. Motor sounds really loose, and the auto trans shares fluid between the 2 compartments. Body has some rust, but the interior is in nice shape. Moved on up to a 91 Legacy 5x2 wagon recently. What a smooth sweet ride! http://members.aol.c...0502/legacy.jpg For character and utility, the 86 4WD couldn't be stopped! Maintain roomates 92 Loyale 3x2 wagon as well. If I'd sit down and write my dissertation, y'all could call me Dr. Nickolas :-) I really appreciate the board. It will certainly solve some problems in the future, and may be the source of parts, too.

The prices sound right for the parts but what are you offering for guarantee? Suggestion is to price it lower and no guarantee because you could have a hard time replacing the part if it is bad. That is where salvage yards have a advantage. May have a couple in stock and may check things more through. Since you are going to part the brat I have a customer that needs the seal for the passenger side door glass. e-mail me woth a price please. wings1200s@aol.com

Mark need tailights and tailgate and chrome, I understand you are keeping the tailgate and chrome so I know he needs both taillights. I want a driver side door and molding for the panel behind the doors on the rear quarter panel.. I have found hatch doors here(VA BEach) in good shape for 65.00 but If I get the door from you, I won't need to switch glass. how much you think for the doors? I was thinking no more than 75.00. but I would have to drive down to see you, so it may not be worth it... the tailights to mark, you can ship to him. pretty cheaply. let us know.. thanks
