Hello one and all

First, wondering how many of yall know what size jets (main and correction) are in your webers

and particularly, what sizes are being used w/ big tires+pug rims.

Seems odd to me that the jets that have come with most of you guyses webers, off the shelf and in theory set up for a car w/ a 1800cc motor w/ small rims should be satisfactory. I know Tex took his carb back in to the shop he purchased it from and they switched something out that made him happier... anybody else (and w/any more specifics)??

Thanks guys.

I don't know my jets, but I know I'm not pleased with my weber on the stock jets. I just can't seem to get it to run perfectly. It runs great, except for two things - it won't accept WOT - tries to die, and then takes off. Seems to be a progression problem. And when I take hard left turns, it tries to die as well. The "kit" wasn't up to the quality I expected to get. The *generic* instuctions I got were somewhat helpful for tuneing, but not helpeful at all for installation. The adaptor plate isn't machined propery, and does not line up with the maifold completely. Seems like they did a half-assed job of putting their kit together. Next time I'll figure out what jets this one has, and buy one on eBay for a third of the price. The adaptors are like $25, and jets are pretty cheap, so I'm sure I could do it for like half after doing a rebuild, jets, and adaptor plate. Oh - and they shipped the kit with the tall air cleaner - so it wouldn't even fit under the hood with it closed. I had to buy the low profile version on top of the kit price to make it work. I guess when my lift goes in, I can use the other one for better airflow, but it might have been nice if they had put the kit toghether without assuming I had a lifted roo. If it was just one or two of these problems, I could probably overlook it, but the whole deal just left a sour taste for me. I spent good money for their kit, so I wouldn't have to go through all the hassles of jets etc, and it still isn't right. Once again - if you want something done right, do it yourself.

We never did measure them did we? Gimme a call, I'll drop by. Or you can drop by. I got a sixer or so of Mirror Pond/Full Sail, and one of Widmere.

I hate to drink alone. (no I don't)

Lumpycam told me 140's are what you should run. Thats what I run in my weber and it runs pretty good (I just need to turn down the warm idle)

If for some reason you want to run 135's I have a pair of them that I will let go for near free, if not totally free (paid like $11 for the pair)
