MorganM
What: Crawl 4 The Cure http://www.crawl4cure.org/ When: JUL 4 weekend Where: Iron Range Off Highway Vehicle Recreation Area, Gilbert MN Why: Good times and a great cause! Help fight Multpile Sclerosis by raising pledges to attend the event. Most people know someone, often family like myself and others attending the event, who has MS. Put a smile on their face and yours by being there! Cost: Only $38.50 if you play your cards right! A $50 reservation charge is needed to get you registerd and your spot reserved. A minimum of $200 in pledges from other people and companies is required to attend. If you get $250 or more in pledges your $50 reservation charge is refunded the day of the event! On the website you will find everything you need to know, pledge forms, and taxt deuction recpiets for people who pledge funds to you. There is also a $38.50 OHV registration charge to be in the park but if you get your $250 in pledges then the $50 reimbursed registration fee will cover your OHV sticker! This gets you access to all MN DNR trails in the entire state of MN for three years. Some other places this gets you into would be the Spide Lake OHVRA and hundreds of miles of state forest trails. Out of state? No problem! You can still register and attend the event. There are already several out of state people registerd and will be attending. I know it's a long drive up there but I cant convey strongly enough how worth it this is. I've been to three huge offroad parks now and this one is really top notch in both trail quality and facilities available! Iron Range OHVRA: Here's some more info on the park. National Trails Database submission: http://random.removed.us/tdb/index.php?board=4.0 MN DNR's page: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/ohv/iron_range/gilbert/index.html Map of the park: http://files.dnr.state.mn.us/outdoor_activities/ohv/ironrange/gilbert/sitemap.pdf disclaimer: No purchese necessary to attend the Iron Range OHVRA on the 4th of July. It's a state ran facility and can not be reserved exclusivly for public events. You can still go there JUL 4th weekend and offroad with out registering with the C4C. However you might get some friendly ribing for not maning up!
MorganM
Got another reason for you to come: I just got off the phone with a gal who's with a production company that does the "King's of the Road" (airs on the travel channel) show. She would like to come out & film our event for their tv show. Sounds like we might be national. You know they will film some Subaru's out there! Also free prizes will total in multipule hundreds of dollars. Sure little of it will fit on a Subaru but there's always eBay or you could even sell it off to people there at the event. Here are two examples of big dollar prizes: http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/Product.aspx?id=1257 http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/Product.aspx?id=1213 Just a teaser as to what kinda prizes will be given away. We have these in our hot little hands as we speak. Special thanks to Currie Enterprises. Those two alone right now add up to about $940 in prizes. Expect some other smaller ticket items too. Like at the anual convention this last weekend I won a free K&N air filter; thats pretty much what I paid for in registering for that event!
