rotorque Posted November 10, 2005 Share Posted November 10, 2005 Hi guys/girls, I have an EJ22 engine from a 98 liberty gx from a wrecker, the manifold that came with the engine is not the original. Couple of questions: 1) Is there a way to tell from the connectors whether it is compatible with this engine? It has two large grey squares and one smaller white square connector. 2) If the manifold has come from a earlier model, can I just get an ECU and harness that will fit the connectors and expect it to run the engine?(given the right things like it being an auto etc) 3) If I was to source a full harness and ECU, including the sensors, can I just apply it to the engine/manifold and expect it to run?
