Is there an online source for 'general' car stuff? A place that has prices comparable to a discount chain for things like polish/wax kits, tire gauges, lubricants, steering wheel covers, etc.?

I have NOT dealt with them personally, but I have seen them recommended a couple of times by fellow board members. I'm not even sure of the kind of stuff they carry.

When it comes to cleaners and waxes and treatment products etc, I think most people pick it up locally. Hard to justify ordering stuff like that.

Yeah - I guess I was just hoping there'd be a place. I did just finish comparing some stuff I got at Wally World to the same items at http://www.autobarn.com and it looks like autobarn is anywhere from competitive to 25% higher. Of course there's no tax but shipping is $6.95 (under$150). I'm fortunate to live in a major metro area but I do like shopping on line. I've had good luck on eBay and other hobby related online stores. I was just wondering if I was missing something that was 'common knowledge' with the 'real' motorheads here. ;^)

i get pads and cables and stuff from Smothers. great prices, excellent service. search on the name...
