bajasubaru69 Posted June 27, 2009 Share Posted June 27, 2009 I have a 1981 dl i am looking to out a lift on it and dont want to spend over 200 dollars any way i could make some brakets for some cheap mods to get a 2-4 inch lift would be great. But yes, you can make blocks to do your own home made lift. It takes some cutting and maybe even some welding. But I did mine in the driveway with simple tools. Also, if you plan on putting bigger tires on the car as well, you might want to put a dual range tranny in as well. I believe since you have a DL that you only have a single range tranny.
