  1. 04 WRX rough running

    Hi guys, This is my first post. My fairly new 04 WRX Sport Wagon has been behaving a bit strange. The car runs slightly rough and has a tendency to sound a bit like a diesel- the motor just does not sound smooth. There is a very slight hesitation on acceleration( not talking about lag ). The exhaust is a bit smoky and fuel consumption has gone up a bit. One would think the car runs a bit on the rich side.There are no significant drivability problems and the car runs reasonably well overall. There are no codes and a trip to the dealer has solved absolutely nothing. Several posts talk about flashing the ECU. The car has only about 13K's on it. Has anyone had similar experiences?
