  1. Yeah, both are 5-speed manual. I'm sure your height/weight theory is the culprit! Thanks for the reply.
  2. After a year of driving it, I've noticed a marked power decrease with my '09 Outback 2.5 motor vs my old '98 Legacy GT 2.5 motor. Not the same 'oomph'(torque, etc.). Is it just me? Is there some tuning issues that are at play? Both engines are/were Subaru stock w/o any modifications. Just curious. Thanks...

I have a strange issue with my '09 Outback Special Edition stereo-at random times while listening to a CD, or the radio, or using my mp3 player in the AUX mode, the sound will completely drop out. There is no speaker hiss-no audio signal whatsoever. could it be the amplifier crapping out? It will work again after turning stereo off and on, but for a nearly-brand new Subie is something that anyone else has experienced?!!
