  1. Nope, It does not have too much oil...at least not since I have had it. Never smokes at all, except for all of the oil being burned off of the motor. I'm going to go continue cleaning everything with Engine Brite and take off all of the vaccum lines individually and clean them. What about a PCV valve or line off of my parts car. Could I use that or do I need to just go get another?
  2. I've got a lot of oil creeping it's way up into my air filter and is making a huge mess up there. Any way to fix this, or at least make it so it isn't as bad?
  3. my '87 GL wagon has always ran great, but then all of a sudden about a week ago, it all of a sudden refused to idle. If i held it about 1000 rpm, it did just fine, but anything under, it would start to spudder and then die. I let it sit for a few hours and then everything was fine. Just last night it started doing the same thing again. But after sitting all night, it still wont idle on it's own. Any ideas? I'm hoping maybe just the carb is too dirty, the car has a lot of miles and has been sitting for a long time before i got it. I would appreciate any ideas. Josh

  5. Hey everyone. I'm so glad I found this website. I belong to one for my Jeep and the message boards help out A LOT!! I love em. I just bought an '87 GL wagon 5 speed with 4wd. First question is, how do i get the back seat to fold down. I found the latches on the top, but is there something for the bottom that I can't find? Second question, I've got a lot of oil on the engine. The car sat for a few years before i bought it and i do not know any history on it. It runs great, good oil pressure and does not over heat or smoke. Anyways, can I get some sugestions on where the most likely places that it is coming from. It almost seems like it is power steering fluid, because why else would oil be soaking everything up there. But i also cant see how how so mush oil could come from just that. Any ideas? Thanks Josh
