    Just bought the same exact car, 97 OBW Ltd w/ 120K for $5900. I got it from a dealer and the price included a head gasket job. I suppose the car was about was about $4400 w/ $1500 in repairs. This is also in Montana were Subarus are in high demand.

    Justs want to say HI from Montana. My company just bought me a used Outback for commuting over the pass every day. They were tired of me driving the Cummins Dodge ($$$ 15mpg) every day. I noticed some residue in the overflow tank on the test drive. Had the dealer inspect it and the HG was about gone. So i'm getting a HG job out of the deal as well. Hopefully w/ regular maintenance it will last a while. I always wanted a Subaru and now i have one for the cost of insurance and repairs.
