  1. No, I don't have the old unit, not sure what I did with it. I got the new control unit at a junk yard so I didn't pay much for it. So the heat works when I move the control lever (the one under the dash) by hand so I'll need to double check the cable connection. When I move the slider on the control unit to cool, the lever under the dash moves, but when I go from cool to hot on the control unit, the lever underneath doesn't move back. Thanks for the help. Brad
  2. Many months ago, I replaced the AC/Heater control unit in my car in order to actually see what buttons I was pushing (the butons didn't light up). When I replaced the control unit, the clip that helps keep the cable to the control arm for hot or cold air broke. I figured a litle duct tape and zip ties would work, and sure enough, no problem. I could move the hot/cold slide and get hot or cold air. Good enough. However, after being gone all summer, I came back to find my car won't blow hot air, even after the car is at temperature. I figured my riggin job fell apart, sure enough. So I fixed that with 2 zip ties, saw that it kept the cable to the control arm and reinstalled everything. However, I still don't get hot air. Any idea why I won't get hot air? The air blows and I can move it between the various vents. Cheers. Brad
