  1. I have the same water pump question on my '92. That sounds like a good deal. I bought my '92 Leg Wgn @40K mi (3 years ago for $4500). From the info that I've read from other members, you might undergo replacing some of the other seals in the engine, including a timing belt replacement. I think that it's priced at $900 b/c another $600 dollars needs to be put into it to get it tip top. That's just a guess, however.
  2. I'm an amateur do-it-yourselfer w/ limited engine work experience. My understanding of the basics is adequate. Here's the problem: Water Pump on '92 legacy is knocking (needs replacement). Looking at my manual, I understand the process of changing the part and finishing the gaskets, but accessing the water pump looks a bit tricky on this model. Is accessing the water pump on the '92 model out of an amateur's league? If not, what are some of the keys steps to doing this right. Again, the change of the water pump + gaskets are not the issue, accessing them is. This might be my first water pump change on a car. Thanks for the help, gentlemen.
