  1. Crank Angle Sensor

    My son's '84 GL 1600 is flashing a code of 13 when it stalls or won't start. (which is happening all too often) I have learned that the 13 code means there is something wrong with the crank angle sensor or the circuit. We have called several parts stores and even the dealership, no one has this part any more. Is there any way to clean, adjust or test this part? Does anyone know where we can find one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mel

    My son has a '84 1600 DL and the engine code is flashing 13 when it stalls or won't start. I believe a code 13 is the crank angle sensor, does anyone know where this is on the engine? It's not in the Haynes manual (shocking). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
