  1. I will try the brakes in the morning and see if that signals a change in the shutter. Thanks
  2. If you shift to neutral, the shutter stops. Put it in drive and settle to constant speed and shutter starts again.
  3. I have a 94 legacy sedan 2wd, 103,000 miles, auto trans that I bought with a rod knock and just replaced the motor. The transmission has shown an unusual problem. It shifts smooth at all times and does not slip on acceleration, but when you reach a constant cruising speed ,the trans will start to shutter and vibrate, almost feels like a braking effect. When this occures, it feels like the trans makes a shift, however no RPM change appears. If you add gas, the trans shifts and you lose the shutter until you settle to a new constant speed. If you let off and lose speed it seems to shift and you lose shutter. This only occures once you have settled into a constant cruising speed. No other noises or irregularities. I serviced the trans at engine replacement, and the problem is not CV joint related. Any Ideas?? Thanks
