  1. Hey all, I'm making yet another move back up to Alaska. A friend wrecked my GL in BC and I ended up buying a 90 Legacy (in great shape) and I love it...but I do miss my old GL. I'm thinking about doing an outback lift and getting some slightly bigger tires...I just want it to be a little more practical. What tire size would you recommend? I dont want to lose a lot of power but I want some more ground clearance. Also, I have a garage here in Oregon, and likely not again for awhile...what other work would you consider for the long drive north? (I need to check on that timing belt)
  2. It sure is cold this winter in Anchorage. The heater fan in my 88 GL is really slow, I remember that it was the same way on my 90 Loyale, but that was in north carolina, now Im in alaska and it just takes so damn long to defrost my window. Has anyone out there came across a way to help with this, maybe I just need a new fan motor? ~Russ
  3. Wow, thats funny. I have a 90 loyale and I am in the process of using a 88 GL D/R tranny also, so far it looks as though it is that easy. Everything seems to be the same. Although I dont have it in yet, so I will let you know how things go. ~Russ
  4. I have read a few threads regarding this but never really got much information. I have a '90 loyale 4wd and I have found a newer, wrecked outback. The guy only wants $20 a piece for the shocks and struts. Would they work on my Loyale?? I'm not sure what kind of outback it is, but Ill post it once I find out. If it works, how much of a lift would it be? Any special maintanence required? ~Russ
  5. This might seem like a dumb question to some of you guys, but thats why I love this message board. Anyhow, I have a 1990 Loyale wagon, and the interior light stays on when it is set to come on when a door is opened and when it shows all the doors closed on the display it simply stays on. Any simple answers to this? If not, how do I troubleshoot? All of the door switches seem to work, and I recently have redone alot of the interior. ~Russ
