  1. I did a search for clutch issues but didn't find anything that describes what I am seeing. 1998 Outback 2.5, manual. I just replaced head gasket and put in a new clutch, as well. When I finished everything last night, I noticed that the clutch pedal goes straight to the floor, does not engage the clutch at all. The plunger from the slave cyl does move, but only slightly when the clutch pedal is pushed to the floor. The pedal can be pushed almost to the floor with little or no effort. Air in the hydraulics? Nothing was changed from before so I don't know how air would get inside there. Bad slave/master (the "clutch sticking" problem)? Plates installed backwards? Any similar experiences/advice out there? Thanks, Rob motorcycles are easier
