  1. Engine Identification

    Suba80 posted a topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
    I now own a 1980 Subaru 1600 DL 4 wheel wagon, my first suba. wanting to know what engine is in it. It seems subaru has no records available on my car or it's engine. According to the manuals it is supposed to be a 1.6 ltr. How can I determine whether it is a 1.6 or 1.8 ltr engine? I also need an emissions chart for it as the one on the underside of the hood has been distroyed. Can anyone out there help me?
