Greetings Gents.
I just bought myself XM Radio to put into my 2000 Forester S (2.5l 4cyl).
I've been able to run the XM antenna nicely, but it's the connection into the radio that I'm still working on. It has a built in FM transmitter, but living in Fairfield County, CT I am finding that there is a lot of interference.
I have the option of using the cassette adapter, but I'm looking for something a bit neater.
Anyone know if I can add an AUX line to the Clarion 116 that is standard in the Forester?
Alternatively there is the option of adding an adapter that goes into the back, in between the incoming antenna feed and the back of the radio, so that when I run the FM transmitter it commandeers the feed totally with no interference.
Anyone know how to get to the back of the radio? I can see an access panel anywhere, and I can't see any screws or latches to pull out the radio. What should I be looking for?
