    The changed shape you mention in 2000 happened in 1999 in the UK. If your 1999 old shape is still DOHC then perhaps the new shape in the UK still had the problem engine installed for the first year or so? Jack

    I'm planning on trading in my 1998 2.5 4CAM Legacy after losing a third head gasket. Despite this I still love the car and want to change to the 1999- facelift legacy. Can anyone confirm that the facelift model coincided exactly with the new SOHC engine (hopefully without the head gasket problems), or are some of the facelift models still powered by the 4cam? Cheers.
