  1. I recently had a problem with snow becoming packed along the rear drive shaft and above the exhaust components. I took the car to the dealer since the problem became so bad that the snow had packed its way up to the AT and I could not get the car into park. The dealer techs said that they were shocked at the amount of snow that was packed up in there, and that the HEAT SHIELD was where the problem was. The shield had TORN, and allowed the snow to travel and melt/refreeze often. They sent photos to SUBARU CORP, and are waiting for a reply. Service guys said that this was a desigh flaw and that Subaru will have to address it soon. Just a HEADS-UP.
  2. try subaruparts.com , They offer a wide rande of items for various years.
  3. Looking for owners in Burlington County, NJ.
  4. thanks for the advice. The car was running long enough and it was the first time that I have ever heard the sound or symptoms. Including very cold rain driving. I will check the drain holes, in the light, without the snow. Thanks
  5. While driving in the snow, my mild sounding outback exhaust started to sound like a Monza Tip. Some how slush or water got into the right exhaust and was causing a gurgling and water hermonic. Any suggestions as to how this happened? Is it common or do I have a problem. I was NOT in deep snow, bu the roads were slushy and wet. Could the right rear tire be forcing slush into the exhaust? Please help
