On 97 or so 2.5 RS does the STI motor line up properly or close? Ive heard rumors that it does and was wondering if it was true.

i have a 93 legacy 2.2 non-turbo, i need to know if it is a biander or not. i was going about 70 and my timing belt went out, i pray that nothing else went wrong! i need to know if my valves are bent or not. if you know any thing it would be nice if you would let me in on how my car might be. thanx trav.
