  1. Howdy all! I joined last night. I am by no means a mechanic - I know very little about cars (so I guess I'm here to learn)! Expect lots of dumb questions from me... I drive a 1992 Legacy Wagon LS, and am getting tired of the numerous problems I'm having with it. Apparently, most of my problems are fairly common. The damned air suspension has been a problem from day one. I intend to convert it to coil springs as soon as I have the money. Also, the thing has started to leak oil like crazy. That's pretty common too, I guess. One thing my suby has taught me is to never buy a "deluxe" model car again. Everything that makes mine deluxe has broken! The lighted visors broke off. The sunroof opens, but doesn't close (at least not without using an allen wrench on the manual close); the telescoping aerial snapped off; and the power steering gets squirellier by the day. I love my car though, and it's taken me on a lot of great adventures. It's also perfect for lugging my canoe around the state. Anyway, the searches I've done so far around the forum have yielded a lot of great information, so maybe I won't need to do a lot of posting. What else... Well, I am an 18-year-old guy, fresh out of high school, in that nervous state between public school and college. Not much else. Thanks!
