  1. Fluctuating Idle

    Hi- My 1990 Legacy runs well, but with increasing frequency the idle RPMs fluctuate from ~400-1000. It has a new timing belt. The number of power draws does not seem to affect it (lights, heater fan, radio, etc.). Any suggestions?

    Hi- New here, thanks in advance for input. Do the mid to late 90s automatic transmissions all suck, or primarily the Outbacks? Its hard finding a manual, and the Legacys are so much cheaper. Anyone have input on the reliability of an automatic tranny with under 100K miles? Cheers, Alex
