New 07 Forester hassles
Has anyone noticed that the new 07 auto trans. have noisy click (from solanoid switch under console) every time you come to a stop. Really annoying. Dealer says they are all that way. Wish I had known before buying. Also have a noisy rattle in dash under passengers air bag. Dissapointed new owner.

2006 Outback Sport Brakes
I just bought a new Outback Sport.. After about a week of driving suddenly brake pedal goes to the floor and car not stopping!! Thought it was a fluke but has been happening every week or so. Really scared me today. Other times brakes are fine. Going to the dealer for help. Any ideas out there in case they are stumped??? Thanks in advance

Wind Noise--luggage rack?
Eric Barr replied to Eric Barr's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXNow that I think about it--this car had the "spoiler" on top of the rear hatch door. Wonder if that in combo with the rack is creating the howl. The idea that the rack cross pieces were installed backwards is very interesting--am going to pass that on tho the dealer. That could very well be it. Thanks for the replies and help.

Wind Noise--luggage rack?
I test drove a new (06) Outback Sport Wagon today and the cross members on top of the car caused a very load wind noise (turbulance) above 40 mph.No other Subaru I have owned does this. Could never tolerate this on a full time basis. 0therwise I like the car.Any thoughts on this. I know I can remove them but want to have them for use. Tried moving the front one rearward but did not help. Salesman did not have a clue about it but he sure noticed the noise .Thanks

Eng. missing after fill-up
I have had several newer Subarus in the past few years and two of them (Outback Wagon and presently an '03 Baja) "miss fire " for a few miles after each gas fill-up. Local dealer is not familiar with this as a recurring problem with Subarus but both mine do this. Any of you had this experience ? It would help if I could tell them what to look for. Many thanks.
