  1. $1500 is kind of what I had in mind, especially when I remember that I paid $600 for a decent 86 GL wagon with 85K on it 10 years ago. It is getting hard to find any in decent shape in this area, but the price still seems awful high. I'll just have to see what happens. The problem is he says that he's going off of the NADA value which is right at $2100, and KBB shows closer to $1000. I think I'd be a lot happier paying somewhere between $1000 and $1500. Thanks for the feedback!
  2. This weekend, I'm going to look at a 86 GL10 wagon in my area that is supposedly in really good shape, no rust, great interior, etc. I've owned 6 wagons over the last 12 years from '78 on up, but they were all cheap, so I'm not sure about this one. Here's the rundown: Miles on body: 82,000 Miles on engine: 130,000 (reason for engine swap was because of bad oil pump; caused turbo to fail which send bearings into the engine, etc. Supposedly this engine was inspected by his son who is a Subaru Master Mechanic at a dealership. Has brand new turbo, oil pump, timing belts). 3 speed Auto (never had one of those before) He's asking $2100 or best offer. Just wondering what anyone's opinions are on what a fair price is. Again, I haven't actually seen it in person yet.... Thanks!
