    My 2002 Forester has a off-and-on problem that a Subaru mechanic cannot fix.....it gulps and gasps when cold and then runs good most of the time after warm-up.....except occasionally when coming to a stop. Premium gas seems to help a little bit. Mechanic has done compression test, new wires and plugs, etc., etc. everything else checks out according to spec's. Dash warning light does not come on. Answers?
