Hi, I have a broken timing belt and have removed and installed a new belt and vehicle does not start. I am sure that the instructions I had were for replacing a worn belt and not a broken belt. I aligned the marks to the timing case marks and installed the belt but realize that I don't know what cycle the cams are at (intake or exhaust) and the crank. I assume when the mark is up it is piston one up as i checked and it is but is it to fire or exhaust. In others words I am lost!!! Any help sure would be appreciated to reset the cams and crank.
