  1. Thanks All !! That did it!! Seems I need to go back to brain school! You would of thought if I saw the arrow on the cams off to the right the arrow on the crank should of been off that direction to! Well its done and works well. Again thanks. Steve
  2. Well maybe I found the error using search. I have been aligning the crank with the arrow to the mark at the top. I do not have marks on the case to match the cams with so I have been using the timing belt marks as they line up at the top to. I just found where Legacy777 states that using the arrow on the crank gear is wrong which is what I have been doing so now I will see if I can find this mark on the back of the timing gear. Let me know if I am heading in the right direction. Thanks Steve
  3. Hi, I have a broken timing belt and have removed and installed a new belt and vehicle does not start. I am sure that the instructions I had were for replacing a worn belt and not a broken belt. I aligned the marks to the timing case marks and installed the belt but realize that I don't know what cycle the cams are at (intake or exhaust) and the crank. I assume when the mark is up it is piston one up as i checked and it is but is it to fire or exhaust. In others words I am lost!!! Any help sure would be appreciated to reset the cams and crank.
