    Hello, I drove a Legacy 1998 GT Automatic. The transmission seems fine, but if I drive really slow, and the tranny goes from first to second gear, it switches really fast and I can feel a bit of a jerk. Is this normal? or does this mean the tranny is close to being finished. other gears are fine, they switch at normal pace and I can barely feel it shifting. but from first to second I notice the difference.

    Its a 1998 Subaru Legacy GT (2.5L) and it has 110Km (not miles) and the price is about 7,000CDN (about 5,500USD). Everything else seems fine about the car except this leak.

    Hello, I'm looking to buy a Subaru Legacy 1998. Its only got 110k km on it. Looks like a great deal but the valve cover gaskets (or something like that) are leaking. Both. The dealer told me it would cost about $400CDN for each to repair. any ideas on this? is this is a common problem? should a Subaru with 110k be leaking oil already? I don't know if I should buy it because of this leak.
