  1. Bump. and switch. Thanks for the advice! The seatbelt chime has been silenced! Now how about the door chime?? These noises in my head..... uuuuuuuuugh..... I need a hug......er, I mean
  2. I'm replacing a heater core in a different vehicle, but....how do you best burp the system?
  3. I'm new here, but he heat shields are to protect the interior. What causes the fires are usually the catalytic converters. They hold all the heat. They get worse as they age and increase exhaust restriction. We had a Passat with bad cats and the header pipes got so hot they actually caught fire to the insulation attached to the heat sheild. This was a very bad day. Everthing was very hot. The shields don't protect downwards.
  4. Thanks BB, I searched around using "buzzer", but "chime" was the trigger word-whoops. I found a long thread on this topic at legacyGT.com that was helpful. Seatbelts good;Buzzers bad. Sometimes I just want to re-position her car from the garage to the driveway in peace. That chime drives me nutty! Darwinism seems to even the playing field regarding those who drive the roads with and without seatbelts.
  5. Hello Suby Fans, I am a new member and looking for some advice. My wife and I traded in our high maintenance Passat for a new 06 Outback with the H6 engine. Yesss! So long Passat ! Now, is there a relay I can pull or other method to easily kill the seatbelt buzzer?? Thanks!
