  1. Outback Sport Manual Transmission Q

    This'll seem very silly and simple, I'm sure but... is there something unique about the manual transmission in the Subaru Outback Sport (Impreza, I guess)? I'm lucky to be receiving one soon, and I'm still mastering stick shift (learning in a '98 VW beetle) and someone I know that owns one is convinced that there's something uniquely difficult about learning to operate a Subaru's. I suspect that he's full of ****, but I thought I'd ask first -- is there anything I should be aware of when I start driving the thing? Additionally, can anyone think of any links to pictures of the Outback Sport's or Impreza's gear shifter, so that I could get a more visual sense of what's coming? Thanks for your help.
