    Ok I see now what it is. It's the trans filter. I think this was the recall Subaru did . I found some info on an old post. Part#31099AA091 Thanks! Jim

    What is the filter that is clamped next to the battery (between the engine and battery)? It looks like it comes out of the trans cooler and is bolted to the frame . I know about the inline one that was a mod. I see that one. Is the replacement a fuel filter sure looks like one? Some kinda retro fit? Thanks 1992 Legacy L Auto

    I have a 92 Legacy wagon AWD AUTO. I want to change the front struts and replace the mounts. Can I use Gabriel mounts and KYB struts? Are they universal to each other? I hope so because I got both. Thanks! Jim

    I have a 92 Legacy AWD with 175000 miles on it. Great Car! Something I've noticed is if you pump the brakes a couple times at idle the engine surges almost to a stall then speeds up. Bad Booster? Vacuum leak? Also it seems to run rough with the ac on. Compressor seems to run smooth. Smooth idle in park with no load. What do you think? Thanks! Jim
