  1. It'd would be an early Impreza, EJ18 maybe EJ22 in a perfect world, then a 2.5 swap later on. I kinda figured on the Impreza, while I agree, not a much character and cool stuff like locking diff's and D/R trannys, I would think have huge aftermarket support. Thanks for the other info!
  2. I know, three very different cars, I'm looking at one of the three to be the winter beater / ice racer / rally x. Relability is the number one factor, the 2nd being performance and handling. Which would handle the best? I would think the Impreza given the huge aftermarket support. Stock vs. stock who would win? I always thought the Xt6 was the ruler of the older subarus untill I read all 27 pages of threads about the RX (yes the search feature works with "*RX*" to get around the stupid 3 letter rule) It seems like headgaskets and cv's/axles seem to be the common spots for the older subarus. Any advice?
