The procedure for adjusting hydraulic lifters that was posted on here is to turn them in four turns and wait 15 minutes before you turn them back out. I didn't pay attention to what it said and I was thinking it said turn them in all the way until they stop turning which is what I did and now I can't get any lash.

I Think I Screwed somthing up because now I can't get any play. What could have happened to the lifters?

How do you do it? My engine is from a 87 Brat. That engine is supposed to be a hydraulic lifter engine. The reason I was trying to adjust them was on the 2 and 4 side it was making a terrific amount of noise.

Hi I am new here. I want to take my hydraulic lifters out of my ea81 to inspect them. Can I take them out without pulling the the head? I goofed when trying to adjust them. I turned them in too far and now I can't get any play with the adjustment.
