Got the marks lined up, threw the alternator belt on and started right up! Thanks for your help. Odd thing, the #1 cylinder wasn't at TDC, more like BDC. Never run into that before. Maybe #1 was on the right side of the engine?

I mean which one of the three is the #1 cylinder. I'm assuming it's the one closest to the timing belt... I'll just have to pull the spark plug to be sure it's at TDC.

Hey guys, I haven't been on here in a few years. I had an 87 turbo wagon for a while but sold it. Anyway, a friend of mine has a later model Justy he needs to get running. The motor got over-revved:-\ and the timing belt snapped. So we have the cover off and the belt is ready to go on. We don't know how to line up the marks though and need your help. I've asked around to a few dealerships and of course they're clueless.
