Hi i have an 89 justy ecvt and its not shifting up either, what should i look for? I'm new to this car so have no idea where to start.... any thoughts would be welcome thanks pieter

Thanks for the info i'll give it a try... i know where i can get two stick boxes so that may be the solution..

Hi guys, i'm thinking about buying a 1989 j10. It has a transmission problem its not shifting up and its an ECVT. Any information on the car would be most welcome as this will be my first subaru.... but then again that may well depend on the reponses i get from you guys. As for the transmission is there an easy fix or does it need replacing.... i can put my hands on a used manual tranny....but then how difficult would the change be? I really like to little car and except for the tranny i don't think there is any other problems beside two rust spots that can still be treated. Put it this way it has only got 40000 km on the clock and by the look of the rest of the car it seems to be acurate. thanks pieter:confused:
