Can anyone tell me if all 95 EJ22 engines have a EGR valve? I thought I read somewhere that is was the automatics only. Thanks, Todd

I am doing all the work myself. I would rather have a non interferance engine. but I guess I am going to install a EJ22 phase 2 or a 96 EJ18. I am just looking for advice for the best swap. Thanks, Todd

I have a good understanding of the mechanics and electronics on most engines but, I have never worked on a Subaru. Im sure the fundamentals are the same as most engine management systems. I have always wanted a Subaru. Now I can have a real nice Forester and the knowledge of the Subaru. I plan on keeping it for a long time. So I want to do it right. I just need the best engine for the swap and I belive I can figure out the rest. Thanks, Todd

I can get it for scrap price $100.00. But the body and interior is in great shape. Todd

And I belive I am going to install a EJ22 motor instead of the EJ25. Any feedback on this will also help. Thanks, Todd

Hi, I am new to forum and I found a 1999 Forester automatic with 196000 miles. Has a bad motor. I can replace motor but I wanted to know about the rest of the drivetrain. How dependable is the tranny and drivetrain? Is 196000 miles alot? Any info will help. Thanks, Todd
