  1. ok so i have an 87 subaru gl and i took out the carbed motor and i am putting in an 86 turbo fi motor out of an rx, i put the motor, tranny, wiring harness, ecu, new fuel pump and lines, and i was wondering if there is anything i am missing that i need to get it running.
  2. Thanks alot i will work on that today and hope it runs
  3. So i was talking to a friend and since it wont start how am i suppose to time it? Would i have to take the heads off or what?
  4. Yeah i have the new fuel pump to, i also have the computer. I cranked tit for a long time trying to ge it running haha. i will have to check the timing tomorrow or something
  5. Ok so i swapped a new motor into my 87 subaru gl, it was carbed and i put a turbo FI motor in it and i got a new fuel pump wiring harness and fuel lines. i am getting fuel and spark but the motor just wont start and i dont know what is wrong, is there something else i dont know about that i have to put in?
  6. So do i have to replace the metal lines or just the rubber lines? Where do i get the new lines? Can i just get them at Napa or something like that?
  7. haha yeah, what should i buy to get the fuel from the tank to the motor then?
  8. Yeah i swapped it all haha, i got the motor tranny and wiring harness and ecu all in. I was looking at the fuel lines and where they connect to the motor and one is smaller than the other 2 so i just guess which one goes where and hope it is right haha
  9. Oh ok, thanks for the information, i will hopefully get it running tomorrow. I am stoked.
  10. Ok thanks ill go check it out, why wouldnt the carbed and the fuel injected pump be the same?
  11. No i didnt, i didnt know i had to. Would it be in the same spot at the carbed motor?
  12. I just out in a new motor into my car, i had an 87 gl 1.8l carbed motor in it, and i put in an 86 RX turbo F.I. motor in it and i have spark but i dont have any fuel running through the fuel lines going to the motor and dont know why. Do any of you have any ideas why im not getting any fuel?
  13. Yeah i have wires attached to the coil, my car will turn over, but it doesnt have any spark.
  14. I think it is an 88 but i am not 100% sure of that and it is the 1.8l turbo motorm not sure what kind of car it is out of, i am doing a motor swap. Here are the wires i dont know where they go, and also that plug i dont know where it goes? it looks like i am missing something down there but i dont know what it would be. The bottom picture is where the wires are, they are right by the coil
