  1. hey guys, I was wondering if a legacy rad would fit into this thing. I was told that the legacy rads are 2 core, and last longer and that they would fit. Is this true, and if so are there any modifications needed? I went out and bought a new thermostat, but I read you guys always talking about getting OEM subaru ones. I am wondering why that is? are the cheap ones really that cheap, or the OEM ones just that good?
  2. Hey guys, I have a 1992 Loyale that I ice race up here in ontario and I was having some problems over the weekend while racing. First thing is it over heated in practice, I later find out the fan is not even turning on so I had wire up a switch for it so I can turn it on or off when ever I want. Afterwards the gauge was still saying it was running hot, heard a few noises coming from the rad. Now the rad is really green on the front, and the fins are real flimsy. The voltmeter on the dash is always reading between 8-12v, but the guy who built the car originally said it has always shown that even though the battery and alternator are good. I have a spare rad and alternator kicking around in case something goes wrong but I think the rad in the car is no good. I am fairly new to subaru's, so I'm not quite sure whats going on with it. Anyone have any ideas?
