  1. That troubleshooting link does not work for me. I have searched the old posts and found some information, but nothing about battery drain or exactly where the limit switches are, or what they look like. I'll keep researching. Thank you for your efforts. A.J.
  2. I keep the dome light to the off position. I am in and out of the car so many times when working on it that I would just leave front door ajar to avoid the constant seatbelt movement, and dome light off to avoid battery drain. Will seatbelt being stuck in door open position drain battery? I will check to see if dome light goes off, but the red door indicator on gauge panel is not illuminated when door is closed, and is illuminated when door is open. Thank you for the reply.
  3. What is the most likely problem if the driver side seatbelt is starting to stay in the door open position more and more frequently? A relay somewhere to be changed? Will this issue drain battery if car is parked for a period? Thank you in advance.
  4. Gary, Thanks for the reply. The oil filter is slightly to passenger side forward. My leak is slightly to drivers side on pulley cover near oil pan. Crank seal or oil pump leak?
  5. Well, it looks like it is not the oil pan gasket that is leaking. I power washed under side of car and it looks like there is oil coming from somewhere behind driver side belt cover down low, between oil filter and oil pan. What gasket is behind this cover that could be leaking? Thanks to all for the help. A.J.
  6. I am fairly sure that it is the oil pan gasket that is leaking. Oil is on the bottom of motor and seems to start from front of oil pan. The gasket bolts were somewhat loose, about a full turn, so I tightened the front ones that I could get to, but the leak continues. The oil pan seems near impossible to squeeze out of the space, but I have not had a chance to jack up motor yet. Any caution to be taken when dealing with the motor mounts? Thanks.
  7. I need to change the oil pan gasket on my 92 loyale. Loyale has the smoke burn off the exhaust after cruising for a while. I have done a few thread searches, but I cannot find step by step guidance on this. Th rear pan screws seem inaccessible even with a long phillips head. Anyone had to do this maintenance before? Any ideas or help? Thank you in advance. A.J.
  8. Does anyone have 13'' original Subaru hub caps that they have taken off or not using? I have two on 92 Loyale now. The kind with 20 or so spoke design ,or maybe 4 of a different kind. Thanks in advance. A.J.
  9. TXakura, Thanks for the reply. I will post a picture this evening. It is a fairly large square faceplate. The cassette player looks like a separate unit almost. Thanks. A.J.
  10. I am trying to find a faceplate/trim plate for the subaru cassete player radio, no equalizer, metal tape option, for a 92 Subaru Loyale and the on/off knob. Does anyone have one? I just purchased a 1992 front wheel drive Loyale sedan with 94,000 miles, no rust, pretty good interior and exterior. It is cleaning up nicely. Thanks in advance. A.J.
