Hey guys I'll tell ya what I am going CRAZY because I am not working. I would like to do some carpentry, or plumbing (not licensed) but I've done enough on my own that I can be of a benefit to a journeyman. Northguy can vouch for my physical prowess and work ethic. I live about 5 or 6 miles from Nine Mile Dam top beyond Big Sandy. PM me if there is anything out there for employment even if it's part time or temporary. Thanks

Ice Racing Stuff
We used to do this on Wasilla Lake back in the late 70s thru the 80s. we'd wait until we had a blow and then head on out. Motorcycle helmets, padding etc. If you're from The Valley you know what a blow is, ain't no bean fart breeze.

2000 Outback tranny problems
I'm SISU's friend and am having a problem with my subaru...anyone know what's going on and can help? The transmission seems to go into neutral on it's own; sometimes at a stop sign and sometimes when first starting. It happens intermittantly and seems to be getting more frequent. I can get it into drive by gunning the accelerator while pressing down on the brake.

same ? again I suppose
What it in 1997 on the 2.5 L engine that head gasket problems started? Second, was it in 2003 that the head gasket problems stopped?

buying and head gasket issue
I am a firm believer in used autos. I had a GREAT 97 2.2 liter Subaru from Anchorage only to have it totaled by a Russian on I-5. Enough of that, I am in the market again after a year of missing my Subaru. I want to buy a very new used one say 2000 up to 2005 or so. WHEN WAS THE HEAD GASKET ISSUE RESOLVED? Or is it still an issue? if it is still an issue what is the cost to have it redone at a shop?(Then I can deduct that from the selling price)

What exactly is GM's interest in subaru?
sisu replied to a post in a topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXHuh, Saab. Good name for a car that breaks down on a regular basis. Owned one once, a SAAB 99. Always had something wrong with it. That said I have a few good things to say before the final slam. It was the quietest car I ever owned when riding down the highway. Fairly nimble etc. Now the final slam: My relatives in Sweden will not even consider a Saab unless it’s an airplane. They buy Volvo and that is it. They check the serial number on all new cars to make sure its a Tues, Wed, Thurs production model. They told me they do this because of the extreme amount of slothness due to weekend hangovers on Monday and the Friday syndrome, "get it done and lets start to party for the weekend on Friday night".
