Hi People,
On the plug I found the signal names: ACC, LIG, GND, BAT
The signals relative to GND was followed:
BAT: +12V (Battery, independently from ignition)
ACC: 0 or 12V depending on the ignition
LIG: seems not to be connected.
Can anybody tell me if it’s correct?:-\ Or should I have a signal on the LIG connection. If I should, could you tell me what?
The LIG conection is hot when you have the dashboard lights on...It dims the clock when voltage is detected on that terminal.

Mine only work with the full beams ('01 OBW). I wish I could run them with the dipped beams- heck, I wish I could turn the OFF the dipped beams...
Huh? "Full beams" and fog lights? By "full beams" do you mean the same as high beams? If so, you are clearly wired up wrong. The fogs on US cars only work with the low beam headlights on, no other way...

Stock setup allows you turn on the front fogs with only the "parking" lights on. For some odd reason you need the dipped beam on to switch on the rear fogs.
Your car must be different than those here in the US. Our fogs ONLY work with the low beams on; not with the high beams, and not with parking lights only. We also do not have rear fog lights (though my Volvo has ONE).

Don't throw away the snorkus! You need the pipe that runs from the filter box into the fender! Cut it off just below where it has turned and points straight down. Attach a velocity stack and viola:

I tried a number of things on my Legacy and this gave the absolute best throttle response and pure, race-bred intake howl.
Sorry, I can't access that image without passwords, etc. Can you post it somewhere else? Since I have already removed the bottom of the airbox, perhaps this is a moot point.

I wouldn't put a CAI on a 1.8 or a 2.2. One deep puddle and your engine is toast.
Besides, it won't net you very much HP anyway, at least not enough to warrant the work of installing it. Put a K&N panel filter in the airbox. It's the best intake you can have.
I put a K&N filter as the first "mod". Also a Stromung catback exhaust (2.5") and have also removed the snorkus. Lastly, I cut out the bottom of the airbox that contains the filter. Guess that's all I can do....
The hp gained is substantial...at least that's what the seat of my pants says!

That's certainly gonna work if you do it right, but I have to ask:
WHY?
A clear advantage of this re-wiring is the ability to use the foglights WITHOUT the headlights on at all. On the dark country roads near me I'd welcome this choice in thick fog.

There are lots of cold air intake choices for the 2.2L Imprezas, but none for the 1.8L engine. Will a 2.2L mod with cone filter fit a 1.8L '95 Impreza manual? If not, where does it differ?

I don't see how it could be done wrong. The lugnuts are torqued down each time. The drums were replaced and then turned true. Could the pads be causing this? Perhaps I should "scuff" them. How about drivetrain issues? This car has 177,000 milies on it!

The automatic adjusters also work fine.

Can't say that about my '95 Impreza rear drums. I have rear brake pulsation that I have replaced the drums for & resurfaced the drums more than once. The pulsation goes away for a thousand miles and comes back.

WRONG. The tow company is liable for all damages that they do to your car because of their negligence. Towing an AWD car with wheels on the ground is well recognized gross negligence.
This is a moot point now. The original poster found out it was towed correctly, at least he was told that....
