  1. The car has 118k and it's an automatic. Sorry that I left out those details. A new knock sensor was installed two days ago.
  2. My 2001 Outback Wagon has been experiencing incresing power loss. At any speed the power simply gives out. Getting from point A to point B is a very jerky experience. The car also stalls at stop signs. Two days ago a mechanic replaced the Knock Sensor. His computer showed that it was fried. The car got home without any problems. However, today it was worse than its ever been. Any thoughts?? I'm getting desperate.
  3. Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into it today and see what I can see.
  4. I know that I have a bad oxygen sensor. Lately my 2001 outback wagon has been losing power unexpectedly. Could this be linked to the bad sensor? The loss of power occurred early on at lower speeds. Now it happens all the time. It also stalls at stop lights. Today I smelled burning rubber coming from the engine. However my check engine light is not on. Any thoughts?
  5. I have a 2001 Outback that is currently doing the same things. I know that I have an Oxygen sensor slowly going out. Could this cause the same problem?
