backyard mech

I get a code 33 from both the ecu and the tcu. the pins are fine in the plug. vss2. I was told it was in the instrument panel but not sure where. Is the speedometer cable the vss2? There is no wires where the speedometer cable plugs into the transmission

the only cable is the speedometor cable. Is there a wire there ? didnt see one , the speedometer seems to work ok . I feel like im missing something.

I get a tcu code 33 and the cruise control doesnt work. Any ideas? I know the code is vehicle speed sensor #2. how hard is it to fix. I rebuilt the transmission a year ago and it seems to have always read this code. 90 legacy ls 2 wheel drive automatic.
