  1. I don't have a reader, but i have however disconnected the battery which should reset the codes, and the code never goes away
  2. I have a 98 Subaru Legacy outback 2.5L (4WD) w/180k miles The head gaskets were recently replaced check engine light came on started getting p0400 also p1507 In the process the egr solenoid was damaged, tried to glue it but it didn't hold. This is what I assumed was causing the p0400 code. Replaced the solenoid from one found in a junk car at a salvage yard. The code is still coming up. Also when the car is in drive and I come to a complete stop (at a stop sign or red light) the car shakes. Other than that the car runs great. I know that the egr valve is working, when vacuum is applied it moves like it should. I am not sure however if any vacuum is getting to the egr valve. Is there any way to check that the solenoid is working properly Any suggestions what could be causing this or how to fix it Thanks
