Eureka! I switched out the hazard unit for the turn signals and they work fine now!

Thanks! I'll give it a check during lunch break. BTW, what is the exact part called so I know what to ask for at the parts store or junk yard...

Ok, here is an update....there is no fuse; checked with Subaru. The signals started working intermittently and now they just stay lit with no flashing. A friend asked me if the flasher unit was just bad. I found 2 small silver cans under the dash behind the fuse box. One is supposed to be for the hazard lights. Is the other the flasher unit? I assumed 1 was for the front hazards and 1 for the rear but my friend said he has never heard of that.

I looked for a fuse but did not see one labeled for the turn signals. This was in the fuse box in the car. Are there others?

I have a 1981 GL hatch and the turn signals stopped working. Flashers work fine and the high beams part of the switch work ok too. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!
