  1. I think the high idle problem sounds like a vacuum leak, possibly a perforated brake booster diaphram. Check it out with a vacuum gauge. It will be somewhere below the throttle blades and wont be a major leak. What do you mean by "it wont start hot" this is a very broad statement.
  2. Thanks Doug, That is the Fel-Pro gasket kit I had in mind and also Rockauto is where I get most of my parts from! Thanks for confirming it for me. Regards
  3. Hi, I am about to strip down my '91 L Series EA82 n/a Carb engine as I have a fair bit of oil in the coolant. I have been quoted over $300 USD for a head gasket kit here in Australia which is ****** ridiculous. I normally buy a lot of parts from the US for a couple of F150's I have and that company have listed a Fel-pro Gasket Kit HS 9392 PT-2 at a much more reasonble price. However, it only mentions that it fits the Spfi version. Does anyone have any ideas on whether the Fel-Pro will fit and/or ideas as to who might help. Thanks alot.
  4. Hello. I am sure glad to find this forum. I just inherited a '91 L Series that goes really good. Forums are the best places to get good advice. Regards to All
